FAQ`S

Are there any additional fees applicable if I make a booking with Bali Villa Retreats?

Absolutely not!! You are only charged the published rate for the villa and any Service and Government VAT taxes which are applicable in Bali.  We do not charge a "booking" fee.

** Please note all rates are published in USD as this is the currency preferred in Bali for reservations, invoices raised will be in USD, however we can issue your invoice in Australian Dollars (AUD)* if this is your preference. *Conversion rates are applicable as at day of issue of invoice.

 

Do I need a visa to holiday in Bali?

Yes! There are three (3) types of visas available. The type of visa applicable to you will depend on your passport entry (country issued).  Please refer to our Visa Information located under our Bali Travel Guide to assist you.

 

What are the advantages of staying in a Private Villa?

Renting your own private villa means that you will get service on par if not better than any well established hotel. As the staff are solely focused on you and your guests needs you are assured to not be left to your own devices. Your comfort at the villa is their number one priority. The staff, attentive yet discreet, are also available to assist with many services outside of the villa, eg: grocery shopping, dry cleaning, tours, local language assistance, teaching culture and traditional customs to name a few. Renting a private Bali Villa affords you privacy and space, with all the home comforts in your own unique setting.

 

Is the price per person or per villa?

The price is per villa, NOT per person.  Each villa may have additional costs applicable eg: extra beds on request, spa services etc … these costs can be advised on enquiry. Villa limitations will also be advised.

 

What services are included in the price?

Each property is unique, services included will vary however here is a general overview of what may be provided.

  • Airport transfers
  • Housekeeping services (Daily)
  • Security Services (24 hours),  Personal Safety Deposit boxes
  • Garden and pool maintenance
  • Food and beverage services (Preparation of meals included, however meals and beverages are at an additional cost)
  • Grocery shopping (on request)
  • Special occasion meals (on request)
  • Child services (on request) incl. Nanny/Babysitting, pool supervision, child friendly menu, toys & games, hire of equipment (car seat, stroller etc)  
  • Internet facilities (wireless broadband internet connections where possible)
  • Full concierge services
  • Laundry and dry cleaning services
  • Entertainment -  DVD and CD collections
  • Amenities such as bathroom amenities, reading materials, games, flower arrangements.
  • Tours and transportation services (on request

Is there a minimum night stay?

Yes, almost all villa's have a minimum night stay requirement. This ranges approximately between 2 - 6 days.  Flexibility is available however will be assessed on a case by case basis as certain factors will apply. eg: season, availability, management clearance etc.

 

Can I host an event eg: Wedding, Birthday etc ... at my Villa?

Yes, in most instances this can be organised, however you must obtain prior approval from the villa owner/management. Bali Villa Retreats will organise this for you.

Depending on the size of the event, terms and conditions may apply. Please check on the individual villas page or alternatively email us with your request we are here to help.

 

Are there any extra expenses or costs?

Food (not listed as included) provided by the villa, tours, adventure activities, child-minding services, taxes and gratuities (tips to villa staff) are additional expenditures to be aware of. The Guest services staff will advise you on appropriate tipping amounts. Transportation services may also be extra. Please refer to your villas available services.

 

Is transport included in the price?

Generally no, however we know this can be such an asset to have when trying to get around the hustle and bustle of Bali. Many of our villas have this service included. Please check the villas available services as transportation can be arranged with all of our villas.

 

Is breakfast included?

Most will provide this service. However this varies from villa to villa. Please refer to the villas available services.

 

Does the price include someone to prepare my meals?

Most of our villas do provide this service, however, please check the villas own services, if you would prefer to cook for yourself, please feel free to do so, remember, this is your home away from home!. Most of the villas have a menu available if you would like to order and eat in. Additional charges are applicable for this option.
Bali has many grocery stores and delicatessen's available which stock a good selection of foods. If you would like your pantry stocked before your arrival please discuss with us and we would be happy to assist you.

 

How much deposit do I need to make?

After we have confirmed availability, a booking confirmation will be issued to you. An initial deposit of 50% of the total rental amount along with the completed guest reservation form must be received within 5 working days.

Final payment (balance owing) is generally required 30 days* prior to arrival (60 days* for Christmas/New Year bookings or on selected villas).

If the booking is made less than 45 days* prior to arrival (or 60 days* during Christmas/New Years or on selected villas), the full payment is required within 5 working days.

For last minute bookings (within 14 days or less prior to arrival) full payment must be made immediately after the reservation has been confirmed, or upon arrival whichever comes first.

If the deposit is not received within this time, the booking and contract will be deemed as terminated.   In the case of a last minute booking or extension to your booking, the villa may accept USD cash (post 1996 and unmarked, F series or newer) on arrival.

* Payment due dates are an approximate guideline only and are/may be subject to change, and are held at the discretion of the villa management for the villa which is hired. Payment time frames will be provided on your Booking Confirmation details PRIOR to any payment received by the Hirer/Guest.

 

Can I change my villa, reservation or departure dates?

It is very important that you advise us of any changes as soon as possible. We will endeavour to accommodate changes, but will be subject to approval and all adjustments must adhere to the the villas Terms and Conditions and Bali Villa Retreats Terms and Conditions.

Booking Fee
A US $100.00 administration fee will apply to each change of booking after a booking has been confirmed. In all cases we will endeavour to accommodate changes, but will be subject to approval by 'the Agency" depending on availability.

 

Can I cancel my booking after I have made a reservation? What charges are applicable?

All cancellation notices must be received in writing.

In all instances please refer to the Cancellation Policy which is provided within your Booking Confirmation Form. Please note all villas and their management are unique and independant of Bali Villa Retreats, and cancellation refunds and procedures will be decided by villa management of the villa which is hired by the Guest.

Bali Villa Retreats cannot change, alter or cancel the villas cancellation policy at any time without written authority directly received from villa management.

 

 

 

 

Is it safe and private?

This question was paramount in our selection of villas. Security teams are available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Staff are well trained, professional and discreet so you feel you still have your own privacy.  Personal safety deposit boxes are usually always available.  Your sense of safety and well being is extremely important to us.

 

Will I have my own private swimming pool?

Yes! That is the great thing with private villa accommodation! You can swim in privacy at all times of the day, and the pool is for your exclusive use.

Unless otherwise stated in the villa description, and in most instances the villa will not be available for rent to other parties during your stay.

 

Will I have internet access at my villa?

Yes! In these busy times we have checked to ensure all/most mod-cons are available to guests. Internet/WIFI is available at all our villas.

 

How can I make a reservation?

It's really easy. Simply choose the villa you would like to stay in, select the dates of your stay and send us your details via our online booking form.  Once we have confirmed your reservation we will require your payment details. These details must be received within 3 working days complete with the required deposit before the booking can be confirmed or the booking will be cancelled.
